Community conversations will be held around the city this month regarding the Seattle education system in preparation for the Mayor’s Education Summit on April 30th at Garfield Community Center. These conversations are a space for teachers, families, students and community members to voice their opinion on Seattle’s education programs, address the current opportunity gap, and give input on how to create a system that ensures success for all students. El Centro de la Raza will be hosting one of the first of these conversations on March 16th at 6 PM in Room 307. RSVP for the event at El Centro. Other early conversations will be held on March 15th at 4:30 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church and March 17th at 12 PM at Rainier Avenue Church.
