Open three days a week to all families in the Seattle area.

El Centro de la Raza’s Food Bank is open to all. In an attempt to ensure that we have enough food for everyone, we impose a limit on the number of weekly visits: once per week to the regular distributions, and once per week to “commodities” distributions. The commodities distributions are limited to low-income residents of the 98108, 98118 and 98144 zip codes.

  • Wednesdays are for Seniors and mobility limited individuals 3:30-6:30
  • Thursdays 10am-12pm & 2pm-4pm
  • Fridays 10am-12pm & 2pm-4pm

Under regular circumstances:

Our Food Bank provides nutritious, emergency and supplemental food to low-income individuals and families in the Seattle area three days a week. The Food Bank also assists people in securing food stamps and other non-emergency food resources, and provides nutrition education. El Centro de la Raza Food Bank is open to all. To ensure that we have enough food for everyone, each family is allowed one visit a week. In addition, every Friday morning we distribute food from the government or “commodities.” The “commodities” distributions are limited to residents in 98108 and 98144 zip codes. Households within these zip codes can receive commodities once every week.
