The Seattle Housing Levy needs to be renewed by voters every 7 years, and it is especially important on the August 2, 2016 ballot. The goal this year is to replace and expand the levy in order to serve even more Seattle residents. With an additional cost of $5 a month for median homeowners, the Levy would provide $290 million to combat Seattle’s homelessness and affordability crisis. Renewing this levy will enable at least 2,150 units of affordable housing to be built or restored, and at least 350 existing units will be improved upon.
