Youth Gardening

Master Gardener, Mick Duggan, teaches an El Centro de la Raza youth program student some gardening skills above. While playing in the Santos Rodriquez Memorial Park, the student became interested in helping Mick in the César Chávez Demonstration Garden. Our child and youth programs provide the tools and guidance to allow students to increase their positive involvement in their community. Being a place where students, staff, and community members gather, the park and garden are important community gathering spaces where such interactions thrive.

Support our children and donate now to ensure that young students continue to be involved in their communities and work hard towards an education.
