Financial Empowerment: First-time Homebuyer Education and Foreclosure Prevention Education Seminar

Our recent bilingual First-Time Homebuyer Seminar was a tremendous success! In collaboration with Farida Cuevas (Realtor), the Washington Housing Finance Commission, and Karen Johnson (Mortgage Lender), 11 participants completed their education requirements, gaining eligibility for WSHFC Homebuyer Programs.

This seminar, held entirely in Spanish, equipped attendees with critical tools for achieving financial self-sufficiency:

  • A comprehensive overview of the homebuying process.
  • Key insights into home loans and foreclosure prevention.
  • Information on down payment assistance and ITIN loans.

Each participant received a 2-year certificate, meeting WSHFC program prerequisites and taking a significant step toward homeownership. Through this empowering program, we’re building pathways to stability and community growth.
