Wrapping Up a Joyful Month at Our Christmas Tree Lot
This December has been full of joy, community, and impact at our North Parking Lot Christmas Tree Lot! Every tree purchased supports El Centro de la Raza’s vital programs, helping more than 22,000 children, adults, and families each year.
The lot has been alive with Christmas Tree Lot staff, families, children, neighbors, and daily volunteers, all coming together to celebrate the season while giving back. Adding to the festive spirit, Lita-Rosita Food Cart from our Business Opportunity Center’s Food Incubator Program served delicious tamales, delighting everyone who stopped by.

Celebrating Community and Tradition: Las Posadas & Christmas Market
What a magical evening at Plaza Roberto Maestas! Our Las Posadas & Christmas Market on December 12 brought together families, neighbors, and community members for a festive celebration full of culture, music, and joy.
The night came alive with a special UW Drama performance, inspired by the life and artistry of Frida Kahlo, followed by the playful Calaca Clown Show. and a soulful musical performance by the José Martí All-Star Singers.
Guests enjoyed the vibrant market, connected with local artisans, and shared in the warmth of community traditions. Thank you to everyone who joined us—your presence made the evening truly unforgettable and brought the spirit of the season to life at Plaza Roberto Maestas.

Bringing Joy This Holiday Season: Our Annual Toy Drive
Rising food and living costs are making the holidays harder than ever for families, which is why El Centro de la Raza’s Annual Toy Drive is so important this year. A single donated toy can bring joy, dignity, and a moment of celebration to a child who might otherwise go without.
We’re collecting new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children ages 0–17 until December 14. Drop-off locations were spread throughout Beacon Hill, Seattle, South King County, and at the El Centro Skate Rink, making it easy for our community to give back.
