Access to arts and culture is essential to building the Beloved Community. ❤️🎭
A heartfelt thank you to @SeattleOpera for generously providing 12 tickets for residents of our Affordable Housing communities and participants in our Senior Hub Program to attend Carmen at McCaw Hall this past May.
At El Centro de la Raza, we believe everyone deserves opportunities to experience the transformative power of the arts, regardless of income, age, or background. Partnerships like this help break down barriers to access, foster inclusion, and create meaningful cultural experiences that enrich lives and strengthen community connections.
We are grateful to Seattle Opera for their commitment to making world-class arts and culture accessible to underserved communities throughout our region. Together, we are creating opportunities for learning, inspiration, and belonging.

At El Centro de la Raza, building the Beloved Community starts with caring for one another. ❤️⚽
Today, staff gathered at the @CentiliaCulturalCenter on Beacon Hill and our Federal Way campus to celebrate culture, connection, and community while watching the World Cup opening match between Mexico and South Africa.
Moments like these reflect our values of unity, respect, and collective well-being—creating space for joy, belonging, and meaningful connections among those who serve our communities every day. Together, we strengthen the Beloved Community from within. 🙌🌎⚽

Taking the first step toward homeownership starts with knowledge.
On Saturday, May 30, participants joined our First-Time Home Buyers Seminar at El Centro de la Raza’s Federal Way Campus, hosted in our Comcast Lift Zone. Through our Financial Empowerment Programs, attendees learned essential tips for navigating the home-buying journey with confidence—from getting pre-approved and understanding financing options to finding the right lender and real estate agent. Thank you to everyone who joined us as we continue creating pathways to financial stability and homeownership for our community. Special thank Winfred Baker, Community Lending Officer from Columbia Bank Home Lending Community Lending Officer, Maria Sotelo of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Real Estate Agent, and Melissa Jackman of Stewart Title.
