toy drive update: a community effort
Thanks to the generosity of our community and partners, we received 1,725 toys toward our goal of 2,000 this year, ensuring that every toddler, child, and teen in our programs received a gift.
We are especially grateful to the Pokemon Company, Seattle University MBA graduate students, Giving Machines, Toys for Tots, and YMCA of Greater Seattle for their generous contributions and partnership.
Because of our wonderful donors, families were able to celebrate the season with joy and dignity. Thank you for helping make the holidays brighter for our community.

How to Donate Toys
Toys should be:
- New and unwrapped
- Appropriate for ages 0–17
- Inclusive of all interests and cultures
Examples of great toys:
- Board games and puzzles
- Dolls and action figures
- Art and craft kits
- Building sets and STEM activities
- Sports balls or outdoor play items
- Books for all ages
- Teen gifts such as headphones, journals, or gift cards
Please avoid toy weapons or items that require batteries we cannot provide.

I would like to make a donation by phone, who do I call?
Please call (206) 957-4621 and we can process your donation via phone.
Is my donation tax deductible?
The IRS has recognized El Centro de la Raza as a 501(c)3 organization. Your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Tax ID: 91-0899927.
will my personal information be sold to a third party?
No. We will never share or sell donor information with third parties.

I received an error when I tried to donate online. What should I do?
Double-check that your expiration date and/or CVV code (the three-digit code on the back of your card) are correct. Also, ensure that all of the required fields have been completed. If you are still receiving an error, email donor@elcentrodelaraza.org and state your issue, name and phone number, and someone from our Development Office will look into it and get back to you.
How do I know my donation was received?
If you made your donation online via our website or phone, an automatic email confirmation is sent to you shortly after your donation is submitted. If you cannot locate it, be sure to check your junk mail folder. If you do not receive anything within 24 hours, email your information to donor@elcentrodelaraza.org and we can verify for you.
If you mailed in your donation, you will receive an acknowledgement letter via mail unless you indicated you would like it emailed and provided your email address to us. If you would like to verify that your donation was received, please email donor@elcentrodelaraza.org or call Kiki (206) 957-4621 with your name, contact information and donation amount and she’ll be happy to verify it for you. If your donation was for $250 or more, a tax letter will be mailed to you no later than January 31.
Can i designate my donation to a specific program?
Yes, you can. You can indicated which program in the Program Designation box when you donate online or in the Memo line on your check if you donate via mail.
Can I make a donation in memory or honor of someone?
Yes, you can. You can indicate the name of the person in the field, “This gift is honor or memory of” on our online donation form or in the Memo link of your check.
